Peer Mediated Instruction / Intervention (PMII) involves systematically teaching neurotypical peers ways of engaging learners on the Autism Spectrum in positive and meaningful social interactions. Peer Mediated Instruction and Intervention is a strongly supported evidence based practice for working with students on the Autism Spectrum and if you haven’t heard about it come join us to learn more. In this session you will take a closer look at PMII, hear from one school’s experience implementing it, and through the AFIRM Module, start on your way to earn a certificate for your learning and begin integrating it into your practice.
